Custom Arrays

For those individuals who out of necessity or desire wish to run a custom designed microarray, we are able to assist them. User provided DNA probes (55-70 base long oligomers or PCR generated fragments) or Proteins can be spotted down onto user provided blank slides by the staff using the Facility Arrayer (Genomic Solutions OmniGrid 100 printer). The service fee for printing is determined by a combination of the total number of slides printed during a print run (up to 100 slides max/run) and the total number of individual spots applied to each slide. Please contact the Facility manager for specific pricing details. Once printed the slides will be returned to the user, who will then be responsible for labeling, hybridization and washing of their processed slides. Users can then bring the treated custom slides over to the Facility for subsequent scanning and quantification using the Facility’s Perkin Elmer Scanarray Express and QuantArray software, respectively.
